The event successfully brought together students from all forms to make refreshing, homemade Oreo banana milkshakes.
Led by the school's English Ambassadors and Chef-in-Training Lam Hei Man, Yuki from Class 6A, the workshop showcased the vibrant atmosphere of the English Café. Students eagerly participated in the activity, enjoying their milkshakes and holding lively conversations. Adding to the festive spirit of the workshop, Principal Lam and other school leaders made time to join in the fun. Their attendance was important in showing the commitment, support and encouragement from the entire school community in promoting engaging opportunities for English language learning and practice.
We would like to give a special thanks to Yuki, whose expertise and passion for cooking were on full display during the workshop. Her contribution to the 'Let's Shake' event was greatly appreciated. As Pooi Tun continues the important mission of enriching language education, students can look forward to more exciting events and workshops in the new English Café. 2023-09-20Grand Opening of the new English CaféEnglish Café Grand Opening
During lunchtime on 20 September in room 406 near the Tuck Shop, the school celebrated the official grand opening of its brand new English Café! The event brought together students, teachers, and school leaders to mark the inauguration of this modern and sophisticated language learning facility.
To begin, Principal Lam led the event with a ribbon cutting ceremony which symbolised the school's commitment to providing innovative language learning opportunities. She went on to deliver an inspiring speech, welcoming students and encouraging everyone to take full advantage of the exciting possibilities offered by the English Café.
In addition to hosting special workshops, activities and cultural exchange programs throughout the year, the English Café will be open to students every Monday and Wednesday from 1:10-1:45.
The grand opening of the Pooi Tun English Café marks an exciting new chapter in language learning at the school.
